Day 26

Today's quote came from a blog I was reading, To read her post and the context in which she said this you can look up her blog, the url to her blog post is:

I think this is so important to remember. Sometimes in the way we choose to teach something, children can learn so much more than the desired lesson. If you’re aiming to teach your children to respect themselves and their bodies be sure that in the process you are also encouraging self esteem and respect toward others and to not just judge themselves or others by their outward appearance only. The approach I want to take when trying to teach my children to have values is to explain why we do things, and the good reasons behind them; not to teach them to see the fault in others and to “not do it like them”. Promote kindness and loving, not prejudice and judging.
